
Women’s Tennis
Last Meet: The Bears defeated 20th-ranked California Lutheran by the score of 6-3.
Team Notes: The Bears took four out of the six singles matches and two out of the three doubles matches to take home the victory. The doubles tandem of sisters senior Kacie and freshman Ashley Cook won 9-7. Junior Lauren Zwick overcame a tough 2nd set loss in a tiebreak to beat her opponent in three sets.
Next Meet: The Bears will travel to California Lutheran University on Monday, March 7.

Men’s Tennis
Last Meet: The men’s squad defeated Pomona-Pitzer by the score of 6-3 on Saturday.
Team Notes: The Bears took five out of the six singles matches and one out of the three doubles matches to clinch their victory over Pomona-Pitzer. Freshman Charlie Howard played in both the singles and the doubles, notching victories in each match.
Next Meet: The Bears will host Graceland University on Saturday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m.

Baseball
Last Game: Wash U. 11, Case Western Reserve 1
Team Notes: The Bears captured the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship for the first time since 2002. The Bears’ team ERA for the six-game Championship series was a superb 2.20 as compared to the opponents’ team ERA of 8.44. The Bears also collectively batted an outstanding .338 batting average. Sophomore Andy Shields batted 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored. Five Bears recorded multiple hits in the effort.
Did You Know: The Bears have now won the last three games by the 10-run mercy rule.
Next Game: The Bears host the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday, March 19 at noon.
Softball
Last Games: Wash U. 8, Rochester 0 and Wash U. 4, Emory 0
Team Notes: The Bears captured the University Athletic Association (UAA) championships for the second straight season. Senior pitcher Victoria Ramsey was credited with the win. She pitched 18.1 innings and went 4-0 for the duration of the championships.
Did You Know: Dating back to 2003, the Bears have won 19 consecutive UAA games.
Next Game: The Bears are slated to play against Clarke College in St. Louis on Saturday, March 19.
