SU election turnout falls by about 800 from year prior
Just under 1700 students voted in this year’s spring Student Union elections, compared to 2556 last spring and about 1529 in the fall, though both of those elections included block funding.
Matt Re won Student Union president with 948 votes, 77 percent of the vote, compared to more than 17 percent for write-in candidate Sean Dula.
Senior Class Council will be mixed, with Varun Mehrotra and Connie Shao from Legacy Slate and Taylor Docking, Sarah Harary and Jake Lichtenfeld from Inspire Slate winning seats.
