In the past weeks, two independent student newspapers, the Maneater at the University of Missouri-Columbia and the Daily Free Press at Boston University, saw their most prominent editors resign over content in April Fools’ issues of their papers—issues devoted entirely to jokes.

The Washington University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams finished fourth of five schools at the Show Me Showdown Saturday. The meet, hosted by the University of Missouri-Columbia, featured schools from all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA.
