In 2009, there were more than 900 fatalities in Missouri due to alcohol-related vehicular accidents. If the State Legislature passes a new driving-while-intoxicated (DWI) bill, students will be forced to think twice before convincing themselves that they are sober enough to drive after a few drinks on a Friday night.

As college students, we grapple with striking that balance between idealism and pragmatism when we articulate our views on the political and social issues of the day. We are criticized for failing to see the full picture and middle ground, yet our voices are a sound of hope that represent the full, dreamland potential of our nation.

As the last semester of college begins for the class of 2010, many seniors are making plans for after graduation, whether work, relaxation or further education. Among those planning to further their education, law school is one of many options.
