While the Washington University men’s indoor track and field team narrowly defeated runner-up Ashford University, by a total of 5.5 points, in Saturday’s Illinois College Snowbird Open, the women’s team was miles ahead of its competition. The women scored 148 points, nearly doubling second-place Ashford’s point total (77.5) to win the 20-school meet. The men’s team, tallied 118 points to best the 17-team field.

Competing for the second time of the indoor season, the men’s and women’s track and field teams each took second place at the Illinois College Snowbird Open.
