For about 20 years, Washington University and other top-ranked U.S. universities have set aside money to provide travel grants for high school students who cannot afford a trip to visit the college.

Washington University has had an ED option for around 20 years, and the number of applicants has significantly increased over the past few years. The Admissions office feels that ED is a process that best serves both applicants and the University.
