If you’re driving and are having trouble finding somewhere to park, there’s a parking lot on North Campus, which is right behind the Pageant. It almost always has spots because few non-Wash. U. people know to park there.

Bear Bucks expand to Blueberry Hill

Washington University students are now able to use Bear Bucks at Blueberry Hill. The restaurant and music club located on the Delmar Loop began to accept Bear Bucks shortly before Thanksgiving. Bobo Noodlehouse and Kayak’s Coffee, both located near the north-east corner of campus, have accepted Bear Bucks all semester.

Sometimes simpler is better. With dart boards, pinball machines and a jukebox inside, Blueberry Hill has a low-key vibe that’s perfect for students. Patrons are friendly, laid back and always open for conversation.

When I turn 83, I hope still to have control of my bowels and at least one of my original hips. On the other hand, Mr. Chuck Berry, who turned 83 on Sunday, is still rocking and rolling without missing a step. The St. Louis-born rock legend plays at the Delmar Loop’s Blueberry Hill once a month, and his performance is impressive for anyone, let alone an octogenarian.
