It’s that time of semester again. Time to put aside studies, time to relax and time to take some time for ourselves. It’s time to get hopelessly, numbingly, and most importantly, responsibly, smashed (if you’re over 21, obviously). Yes, it is time for yet another W.I.L.D. Everyone has either heard or experienced first-hand W.I.L.D.

Students enjoy tamer W.I.L.D. from prior years

For the first time in nearly a decade, students were served beer at W.I.L.D. Nonetheless, only one student was treated in the paramedic tent at the event, and just one other alcohol-related call was made on Friday, Washington University Police Department chief Don Strom said. Indie-soul band Fitz and The Tantrums headlined the event. This year’s spring W.I.L.D.

When we first heard about the recent influx of complaints from the University City community about noise and trash from Wash. U. students living north of campus, our thoughts jumped to concern about what this could mean for WUPD’s historically liberal alcohol policy.
