Women’s golf wins IWU Classic; Buck sets record
The No. 7 Washington University women’s golf team continued their hot streak by taking the Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Classic, defeating No. 2 DePauw University by four strokes. The Bears set a new team record by shooting a 300 on the first day. Junior Hannah Buck led the way with a first round, 3-under par 69, breaking the school record of 71 set last week by freshman Olivia Lugar. Buck shot a 79 in the second round, and her total of 148 was good for individual medalist honors. Lugar finished tied for second with a score of 150 (76-74), and sophomore Andi Hibbert finished tied for seventh with a score of 156 (77-79).
