Student Life | The independent newspaper of Washington University in St. Louis since 1878

Dear Elizabeth, Miranda, Gryte, Theresa and Will,

On behalf of the team, I would like to thank you for your commitment, dedication, and passion to Washington University Crew.

As you know, you are part of a very real and unique program here, at the University. This is something that we couldn’t do without you. You adopted all the lessons in our sport, and became a better student-athlete because of it. Continue to cherish the victories and defeats, the medals and traditions . . . but most of all, cherish the memories.

Become fond of these rich experiences.

The sport of rowing is enduring . . . from the loss of one of our teammates, to winning national championships’ . . . you stuck with it. You turned that endurance into endearment, and made this sport your own. No one can take that away from you.

You have learned a great talent, and through the process, developed true character. You will always be part of the crew family.

We are so proud of your academic and athletic accomplishments!
