Biochemistry professor John Majors dies
Dr. John Majors, associate professor emeritus in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning.
Students enrolled in Principles of Biology I for the upcoming spring semester were notified of Majors’ death via email by professor Kathy Hafer, who co-lectures the course.
Hafer assured Bio 2960 students that the course will proceed as planned, adding a few words in Majors’ memory.
“I have enjoyed working with Dr. Majors for many years. I am sad you will not get the opportunity to learn from him, as he was a dedicated and very knowledgeable teacher,” Hafer wrote.
Cause of death was not announced.
