Bear Bucks expected to resume services today
[Update 6:30 p.m.]: According to a Facebook message posted around 4 p.m., Bear Bucks is back online and working. Check back on Thursday for more coverage.
Washington University Campus Card Services is hopeful that Bear Bucks will be online again later today after nearly 24 hours of inactivity.
At about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, a database error occurred that put campus card services ranging from on-campus laundry to off-campus dining out of commission. The issue also affected the Bear Bucks information available through the WebSTAC portal. At about 7:30 p.m. that night, the Facebook page “Bear Bucks – Washington University in St. Louis” posted that a server issue had forced Bear Bucks services offline and that any repair would not occur until the next day.
According to Campus Card Services Manager Rachel Reinagel, Campus Card Services and Information Services & Technology are working on a solution for the problem. Reinagel said that students will be notified of updates via Facebook and through the Campus Card website.
