2013-14 tuition rises 3.8 percent to $44,100

Undergraduate tuition for the 2013-14 academic year will be $44,100, a $1,600 increase from Washington University’s current tuition, Barbara A. Feiner, vice chancellor for finance announced Thursday.
The University will require a student activity fee of $441, and will charge a health and wellness fee of $300.
On-campus doubles will cost between $8,962 and $9,912, depending on whether a student selects newer housing. Meal plans will range from $3,802 to $5,280.
The change in tuition is directly in line with changes from the past few years. Tuition for the 2012-2013 year was $42,500, a 3.8% increase from the 2011-12 year’s tuition of $40,950. The previous year, tuition rose 3.9 percent to make the cost of one year at Wash. U. top $40,000 for the first time.
