This title is fairly misleading. James O’Keefe and Joe Basel did not organize the gulag. Young Americans for Liberty did. James O’Keefe did some filming. Joe Basel dressed up as a prisoner when people had to leave for class.

I should note that I’m not trying to suggest that YAL has anything to do with this scandal; clearly they don’t. I just don’t understand why all of the locals who met both O’Keefe and Basel only talk about O’Keefe.

So why didn’t Doebler talk about Basel? Did he not know who Basel was, or did he not want to talk about him? Basel was right at the display with them, so they had to have met.
