I genuinely believed in Obama, went door to door and voted for him, distributed literature and wrote articles. He should have absolutely declined the Nobel prize.
He has done nothing for gay rights, peace or anything of substance. When he speaks, he no longer sounds inspiring but more like a disingenuous politician. I really don’t believe him. Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion he is just a power hungry socialist not unlike the likes of Joseph Stalin or Mao Zedong. He hoodwinked young and old alike. I never thought I would yearn for the days of George Bush.
I am ashamed I voted for him

Congrats, Obama!

(am I allowed to say that? nobody else seems to be… but really, if the Nobel committee wants to give someone a prize, that’s just fine with me, whether it’s motivated by respect for unfulfilled aims or what Obama stands for, desire to give a “vote of confidence,” or just happening to think Obama was the most qualified person. It’s an odd decision, but ridicule won’t change it. (this coming from a Republican…)

Even the president doesn’t think he deserves it. There are many worthy people in the world that have actually saved lives and devoted their life to peace, not politics.

The commitee in Oslow did discredit to itself and the prize itself. How dare they intefere with our policy. The president is about to make a historic decision about Afganistan and they drop the “Nobel” bomb. Do you think they are trying to tell him somthing. Now our policy comes out of Norway. Shame on them. The President should respectfully decline.

The Nobel Committee has successfully eroded its own credibility and made decisions in the rarified atmosphere of Oslovania for many years, but this takes the cake! And having the likes of Al (no science, all fear) Gore praise the selection makes it all the more laughable–if it weren’t so bloody sad.
