I feel that it could be better enforced that younger adults are not permitted to drink. Students don't realize that it does not help with concentration in school at all. Hate-mongering MADD bigots say that statistical analysis of historical crash data proves that the USA should not be a free country, with liberty and justice for all, that politicians you voted against have a right to hire gun-toting goons in bulletproof vests as weapons of unprovoked violence to intimidate you into giving up, until age 21, your inherent natural right to enjoy the beverage of your choice. Non-violent efforts to curb drunkenness without violating the rights of the innocent citizen, such as hosting an alcohol-free party on your land, are sabotaged because the outvoted discrimination victims, invited to attend the party, view the hosts as the same enemy which resorts to violence and intimidation. Rest assured the outvoted discrimination victims at underage drinking parties don't spend their time puzzling, "Gee, Sherlock, why do you suppose they impose the drinking age on us, when they could save a lot more lives by imposing tougher drunk driving laws on themselves?" They know why. Naturally they view the hypocrites as the enemy, and to allow underage drinking laws, Sunday closing laws, dry county or other restrictions to prevent them from drinking, is to suffer a highly dishonorable defeat at the hands of the enemy. They imagine they are hurting the enemy by drinking too much. Binge drinking and alcohol poisoning are no excuse for intimidation and violence. People have a right to destroy themselves with whatever poison they want. It's their body, it's their life, and the freedom to choose includes the freedom to choose foolishly. The only reason governments get away with unprovoked violence and intimidation is because the outvoted discrimination victims cannot effectively fight back. Vastly outnumbered at the polls by bigots who hate them, they cannot defend liberty with ballots, and they are not yet ready to defend liberty with bullets.
