I still cherish many happy memories of the university, but I fear that the curriculum has changed beyond recognition. Then, we all took a mandatory, year-long course in Western Civilization ( so much for "cultural studies"). Language studies then included English, of course, and a mandatory European language, such as French or German. Like many major universities, WU has now been infected with politically-correct courses, and studies of so-called victims' rights. I would prefer to struggle through calculus and geology, as I did then, rather than have liberal politics shoved down my throat, as if I were a Strasbourg goose. Sic transit gloria universitatis.
