It is a sleeper in that it never had a huge following but it still has the cult followers. The movie perfectly portrays how real liberal arts schools work. Extremely conservative administration and board members that are almost always concerned with how the school is going to get its next donation, and the extreme opposite liberal student population. In the case of PCU, the student population has tons of conflicting protest groups. Not to mention the early exploits of Jon Favreau, Jeremy Piven, and David Spade.
