Greek or not, this restaurant is surely something the whole campus can agree on. Momos “Ouzaria taverna,” or Grecian tavern where ouzo and other spirits may be found, is located in the heart of residential University City on the corner of Gannon Avenue and North and South Road. It serves up Greek cuisine in the traditionally Spanish tapas style of dining.
Little darling, it’s been a cold, lonely winter. The sun was setting over the St. Louis skyline, and, as the rays glistened across Forest Park’s Post-Dispatch lake, we sat enjoying the warmth emanating from the large stone wood-burning fireplace. As the vernal equinox approaches, the Boathouse at Forest Park beckons St. Louis’ inner soul which yearns for spring time. Here comes the sun.
If sex is not the only thing on your mind next Valentine’s Day, you may want to take that special someone to a nice restaurant before taking them back home for dessert. For a quality Italian meal and a trendy upscale atmosphere, Bar Italia is a great St.
Titillation Score: Extreme Titillation “The soul of Modai is defined as an era of Japanese cuisine: cultured by modern elegance, music and design for your dining and social experience.” That was exactly what we were thinking. Modai is the trendiest new restaurant and bar on the Loop, and their atmosphere truly embodies their philosophy.
From the moment you step out of the car, it smells like Mexico. The arousing aromas of supple roasting meats and succulent grilled vegetables intoxicate the air with the welcoming smell of Mexican seasoning. This is El Maguey. You know a restaurant is good when the line of fanny-pack clad Midwesterners is protruding out the front door on a Tuesday evening.
Titillation Score: Extremely Titillating Crown Candy Kitchen opened in 1913 and since then has remained virtually unchanged in both appearance and menu. This neighborhood nook is a mix of candy shop, ice cream parlor and vintage diner, complete with the original booths and tables.
Titillation Score: Mildly Titillating We asked Amighetti’s employee, Patricia, “What could make Amighetti’s special dressing so special?” She responded, “If I tell you they’d kill me first and then both of you.” Patricia went on to inform us that every Amighetti’s employee since its opening in 1921 has been sworn to secrecy and recently been required to sign confidentiality agreements upon being hired.
Titillation Score: Extreme Titillation Grab one from the bucket. Gaze straight into its googlie eyes. Clutch its rear and pull forcefully yet with ginger dexterity. Squeeze a little lemon and dip the derriere into the butter sauce and suck it right out of the shell.
Titillation Score: Extreme Titillation And I said, “What about breakfast at Tiffany’s? As I recall, I think we both kinda liked it.” And Matt said, “Well, that’s the one thing we’ve got.” Formerly Morgan’s Diner, the revamped greasy spoon switched to its current name after management fell in love with the ’90s Deep Blue Something classic.
Titillation Score: Extreme Titillation Usually, when you hear the word caf‚, you’d picture tea and crumpets and barely enough room inside to accommodate your extended family. Lambert’s Caf‚, however, is not this type of caf‚. This mammoth restaurant could not only fit your entire family, it could also fit the rest of rural Missouri at the same time.
