After a strong showing at the UAA Championships this past weekend in Cleveland, the Washington University men’s tennis team ultimately took home the second-place prize.
The team, ranked ninth nationally and second in the conference, garnered victories over both New York University and Carnegie Mellon University before falling Sunday to top-seeded Emory University in a narrow 5-4 defeat.
For the Bears, having no news may, in fact, be good news.
Little changed this past week, as the now ninth-ranked Wash. U. men’s tennis team continued its charge towards the end of the year. The Bears defeated Division II opponent Southern Illinois-Edwardsville 9-0 last Wednesday, April 18 before following that with a 5-0 sweep of Lindenwood University this past Tuesday, extending the team’s winning streak to 12 wins.

Although it may be monotonous, the Bears just keep on winning.
The Washington University men’s tennis team continued its torrid streak this past weekend, winning four more matches and pushing their overall record to 14-3 on the season.
A huge 7-2 victory over 28th ranked conference rival University of Chicago, sandwiched by sweeps over the University of Texas-Tyler and Coe College, highlighted the victorious weekend for the Bears.

After one postponement and other scheduling issues due to poor weather, the Washington University men’s tennis team won two more matches this past weekend to extend their overall record to 10-3 on the season.
The 10th-ranked Bears defeated Wheaton College by a score of 7-2 at the Sunset Tennis Center on Saturday, before returning home Monday to knock off McKendree College for the Bears’ sixth straight win.
It may not have been a pretty day, but it was ultimately another win for the Washington University men’s tennis team.
The 10th-ranked Bears defeated their cross-town foes from the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Wednesday, by a decisive score of 9-0.
As if beating one ranked team wasn’t enough.
The 10th-ranked Wash. U. men’s tennis team had a victorious weekend, defeating No. 25 Carthage College on Saturday before again emerging triumphant against No. 17 Graceland University just one day later, extending their overall record to 7-3 with the victories.

The 26 Wash. U. seniors on the football team ended their careers on a winning note, leading the Bears to a thrilling 17-14 victory over the Greenville Panthers at a frigid Francis Field Saturday afternoon.
