Call it Disney World, call it the happiest place on earth, call it whatever you want, but St. Louis is and will always be a sports town. True, St. Louisans and Midwesterners are nice people, but they are also diehard sports fans. They may applaud good play, they may pat the players on the back and say, “Get ‘em next time” when they fail, they may not throw batteries and beer bottles at opposing players, but they still love their teams.
