Troy Ruths, Men’s Basketball
The senior led Wash. U. to a dramatic 71-69 comeback win over Brandeis University scoring 25 points in the game. With the Bears down 69-63 and 1:38 to play, Ruths scored the final eight points pf the game, pushing the Red and Green to victory and allowing the team to preserve a 12-game winning streak. Ruths also led the team with 17 points on Friday when the Bears defeated New York University.

Jill Brandt, Women’s Basketball
The junior tied her career high of 19 points to lead the Lady Bears from behind to take down arch-rival New York University 66-60. Wash. U. was trailing 21-8 before a scoring run began late in the first period. Brandt had back-to-back three pointers early in the second half which trimmed the lead to 37-36.
