Baseball

Last Games: Wash U swept Maryville University by the scores of 11-2 and 12-4.

Team Notes: Junior Adam Goslin hit his first career home run. Senior Dan Rieck also blasted a two-run home run to lead the Bears over Maryville. Sophomore Dan McPheeters pitched a complete game to improve his season record to 6-1, giving up just six hits while striking out seven.

Did You Know: The Bears have now won 10 straight games.

Next Game: The Bears are scheduled to host MacMurray College on Apr. 11 at 2 p.m.

Men’s Tennis

Last Meet: Wash U 4, Lindenwood University 3

Team Notes: The Bears recorded their ninth win of the season with a dramatic victory over Lindenwood. The Bears swept three doubles matches, extending their winning streak to eight.

Next Meet: The Bears will square off against University of Missouri-St. Louis on Wed., Apr. 13 at 4 p.m.

National Ranking: No. 13

Women’s Tennis

Last Meet: Wash U 9, Lindenwood University 0

Team Notes: The Bears improved their record to 5-5 with a sweep over Lindenwood University.

Next Meet: The Bears will travel to Madison, Wis., to participate in the Midwest Invitational from Apr. 8 to Apr. 9.

Track and Field

Last Games: Wash U swept Millikan University by the scores of 8-0 and 6-0.

Team Notes: Junior slugger Monica Hanono blasted a home run and drove in seven runs to lead the Bears over Millikan. Hanono blasted a three-run home run to dead center field to break open the game. In other news, seven Bears were named to the All-University Athletic Association team. Sophomore Laurel Sagartz was named UAA Most Valuable Player.

Did You Know: Sophomore pitcher Laurel Sagartz was named the Division III National Player of the Week. Last week, teammate Liz Swary received the honors.

Next Game: The Bears are scheduled to host Fontbonne University on Apr. 9 at 1 p.m.
