Tyler Nading, Men’s Basketball

The junior dropped 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for his third career double-double. Nading followed that performance with a 19 point, eight rebound performance Sunday in an overtime win over Emory University. During that game, he scored his 1000th career point as a Bear. For his performance over the weekend, Nading was named UAA Athlete of the Week.

Janice Evans, Women’s Basketball

The sophomore recorded her first career double-double Friday against Case Western Reserve University with 16 points and 11 rebounds in the nine point Bear victory. Evans led the team in points again on Sunday, scoring 14 points in the Bears’ 68-66 loss to Emory University.

Nirmal Choradia, Men’s Tennis

The junior was the only man to win both of his matches against Division I Illinois State University. Choradia and freshman Max Woods won in number three doubles 9-7. He also won his singles match 4-6, 7-6, 6-4. Choradia was also named UAA Athlete of the Week.

Jeff Bayers, Men’s Track and Field

The senior placed third in the men’s 5000 meter run with a time of 15:26.35, setting a season high for the Bears in that event.

Kelli Blake, Women’s Track and Field

The freshman gave Washington University its only first place at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville open, winning the women’s one mile run in a time of 5:10.73.
