All afternoon classes have been cancelled Tuesday in light of the terrorist attacks and out of respect to the affected members of the Washington University community.
“Washington University is deeply saddened by the tragic events in New York City,Washington, DC, and elsewhere. Our sympathies go out to those affected by these attacks, and to those members of the University community who share our great concern for the safety and well-being of their family, friends, and classmates who live and work in these cities,” chancellor Mark S. Wrighton said in a statement.
University offices will remain open for the remainder of the day and classes will resume regular schedule Wednesday, Sept. 12.
